I will miss my brother and pray that he is now at peace. The past many months have been trying and it was painful to watch as Charlie journeyed through this stage of life. Although in hospice for last weeks of his too short life Charlie was enjoying having people visit him and he made the most of it. The nurses, social workers and all of the staff of the Hospice Inn at St Peters in Albany and Mountain Valley in Gloversville were gracious and kind and I thank them enormously for all that they did for our brother. Charlie faced his illness with courage and wanted to continue to fight but it became too much to bear for him and God finally called him. Charlie wanted more than anything to live and see his son Mason grow and prosper. Now he will be watching him from a higher plain. Rest in peace my brother - I will miss you

I feel so lucky that I was able to visit my long lost cousins recently and spend the day together with such a beautiful family. Even a relative of the neighbor in the next room had to stop by to tell Charlie how incredible he was. After I went home, I spoke to my mom who's been praying for Charlie and everyone all along and all I could say was, "He's just amazing and so is his son. And what a wonderful family, so much love and kindness". xoxo
