Obituary of Lawrence Neil O'Donnell

MEDUSA – Lawrence N. O'Donnell, 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Greene Meadows Nursing Home in Catskill. He was born on July 24, 1939 in Staten Island to the late Edward and Jane Menses O'Donnell. Lawrence served as a U.S. Marine, having been Honorably Discharged in 1959. He was an owner operator of his own trucking business in Hannacroix, and was also a member of the Teamsters. Lawrence was a vigilant donor to various military funds. Lawrence is survived by his wife, Anne O'Donnell; his children, Patrick O'Donnell, Kathleen O'Donnell, Nancy Shaw, and Sheila Benevides; his eight grandchildren; his one great-grandchild; and his siblings, Jerry (Kathleen) O'Donnell and Jane Anne Mahan. A calling hour will be held on what would have been Lawrence's 79th birthday, Tuesday, July 24th from 9:30 to 10:30am at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville, followed by a funeral service at 11am at the Christ Episcopal Church, State Route 32, Greenville. He will then be buried, with military honors, in the Breakabeen Cemetery.
