Obituary of Oliva C. Wickes

GREENVILLE – Oliva C. Wickes, 95, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017 at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in the Town of Hoosick on October 15, 1921, she was daughter of the late Marcus and Hattie Myers Wolfe. Oliva was a graduate of Troy High School. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, but first a caregiver, all while working full time. When you became her friend, it was for life. Oliva maintained friendships for more than 75 years. Oliva is survived by her son, Brian F. Wickes; grand-daughter, Kathi Deneault Snyder; grandson, Jason B. Wickes; seven great-grandchildren, Anthony, Skyler, Cierra, Ayden, Faith, Sydney, Alexander. In addition to her parents, Oliva was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Frank E. Wickes; and her daughter, Bonnie Susan Wickes. Oliva has been cremated privately.
