Margaret served for four years as a Trustee of the Westerlo Public Library.
She was the embodiment of the very best human qualities – those that I think we all might hope to be remembered by. But, above all else, she was Kind.
To the Board of Library Trustees, she brought her intellect and knowledge of literature, as well as her love of reading, which she shared at the library’s monthly book discussion group. She built bridges to other groups – cultural, civic and corporate – in the town of Westerlo. And, Margaret was a firm voice of encouragement in current library programs and our long range future plans.
She will be sorely missed by her library family.

To David and family,
I am very sorry for your great loss. Although I only knew Margaret during the last years as a library trustee, we were a team and spent several lovely afternoons exploring libraries, her gardens and discussing life. What a brilliant and lovely person! I will very much miss her friendship.

Margaret was a great friend and colleague at Siena College for 36 years. It was an honor to serve with her.
Margaret was known as an outstanding professor by students and faculty. I will always remember her remark to Father Kevin Makin on the occasion of 25 years of service to the college. "I love teaching; I would do it for free. You pay me to correct papers and exams."
