I remember Mr. Brink and his wife coming in to the general store in Manorkill when I worked there as a teenager; such sweet people. My sincerest condolences to the family of Mr. Brink.

Dear Bonnie and Family,
Tom and I are so sorry for the loss of Bruce, Tom loved talking to him and hearing his jokes. We will miss his calls and we know he is no longer in pain. He was a very strong person, who always put a smile on our faces. Tom and I will miss him. Love from both of us. Tom and Dorothy

Dear, Bonnie, Andy, Ernie, Peggy & family, I'm so very sorry for your loss! Your family is one of the nicest families I know. I remember your Dad as well as Bruce driving me to school. I remember playing in your house as a kid having so much fun & your Mom's good dinners & always homemade desserts. We have had so many fun times. Remember he has no more pain & stay happy for with all the fun memories as he would like it. I know it hurts, but we can be strong with the family you have & your friends are there. Stay well & I hope to see you tomorrow - if I can make it I will. Love & friends forever, Wendy, Eddie, Joseph & Robert Hasenkopf My prayers are with you!

For many years, I lived in the Dahl (Thelma Bell) house next to Catherine and Ernie and some of my fondest memories are of spending time with all the Brinks, particularly when it came to chasing the cows off the road or my front yard back to the pasture! Bruce always waved when he went by the house and he showed great patience in answering my many questions about farming and cows. Bonda, my deepest sympathy to you and the entire family. I share your loss. Now Bruce is free to keep an eye on Roscoe, who I'm sure is still driving down the roads of Heaven at 10 miles per hour!

Bruce Brink was a wonderful man and a good friend.
Bruce's remarkable attributes were numerous. A gentle giant, I never knew him to say an unkind word about anyone. He was thoughtful and careful in weighing issues and consistently fair-minded in making decisions about them.
In matters of problem solving, he had unmatched patience and superb analytical skills. Bruce's clarity and intellectual honesty distinguished him as one of the most gifted people I will ever know. I enjoyed many years of talking with him and always came away feeling better for knowing him and feeling more optimism that such good people walk quietly amongst us.
Bruce was infallibly kind-hearted and one had only to be his friend or an animal in his care to feel the warmth and intensity of his concern.
Our family has been lucky to be in the orbit of the Brinks of Durham. Losing Bruce and his Mother, Katharyn, this year is hard. Faith has it that we will see them again... and that will be a joy worth working for.

I am so sorry for the loss of Uncle Bruce, he was such a nice guy. I am Charlie's sister in law and I was honored to always have been included into such a caring, loving family. You are all in my thoughts, heart and prayers. I still remember helping Charlie, Jenn and Uncle Bruce on the farm when I was younger! God Bless!
