Obituary of Moses E. Van Zandt

GREENVILLE – Moses E. Van Zandt, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Kaaterskill Care Center in Catskill, where he had resided for the last six months. Born in Greenville on January 5, 1935, he was son of the late Moses and Carrie Winnie Van Zandt. Moses was a veteran of the US Army. He was the cook at the Hiawatha Grange in Dormansville for many years, and also cooked at the Greenville American Legion Post 291, where he was a member. Moses has no known survivors, but he has many friends who will remember him. In keeping with his wishes, Moses has been cremated. A graveside service with military honors will be conducted on Tuesday, July 2 at 11 a.m. at Greenville Cemetery, under direction of A.J. Cunningham Funeral Homes, Inc., Greenville.
