Obituary of Doris J. Low

Cornwallville, NY – Doris J. Low (83) of Cornwallville, NY passed away at her home on Feb. 7, 2013. She was born in Richmond Hill, NY on Nov. 17, 1929 daughter of the late Edward & Helen (Rogacki) Skry. Doris married Edward Low on April 9, 1949 and he predeceased her in 2008. She was very active in her community and a former member of the Milton Fire Co. Aux. in Ulster County, a member of The East Durham Vol. Fire Co. Aux., the Durham Valley American Legion Post # 1416 Aux. the Tri Town Memorial Post # 7229 Aux. the Red Hat Society, Grandmas for the Troops and the Society of Decorative Painters. She enjoyed her friends and loved painting sewing and doing special crafts. She will be remembered for her help and support of the many area veterans. She will be remembered as a friend to all she met. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by a son Wayne Low. Surviving are two sons; Dale Low (Rebecca), of Cornwallville, Bruce Low (Carla) of Luxemburg, WI, two grandchildren, Anna Croce (Drew), Emma Low a great grandson Owen Croce and a sister Lydia Barcroft of Canada. Funeral service will be Sat. Feb. 16 12noon at the A.J. Cunningham funeral Home, 4898 Sr81, Greenville, NY. Friends may call at the funeral home on Fri. Feb. 15 from 4 to 7pm. The East Durham Vol. Fire Co. Aux. and the Durham Valley American Legion Post Aux. will conduct services at the funeral home on Fri. eve. Interment (weather conditions permitting) will be in the Cornwallville Cemetery.
