COXSACKIE – David Conrad Meier, 80, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024.

David was born in Castine, Maine on September 23, 1943, a son of the late Herman and Cora Sawyer Meier. He was raised in Coxsackie and graduated from Coxsackie-Athens High School and Oneonta State College. During his career, David was employed as a high school math and science teacher, and an air pollution control specialist, living in Ridley Park, PA, Willingboro and Freehold, New Jersey, before returning to Coxsackie. He enjoyed boating, hiking, camping with family, basketball, baseball, and working.

David is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen (nee Brumell); daughters, Dawn Aiello and Christina Bachar both of Freehold, NJ; son, Eric Meier of Richmond, VA; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; brothers, Timothy, Donald, and Daniel Meier. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his son, Curtis Adam Meier; and brother, James Meier.
