David Dence

Obituary of David D. Dence

DELMAR - David Dennison Dence (aka Triple D), aged 83, died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday May 20, 2023 after a long journey with Alzheimer’s Disease. He consistently lived out his faith and trust in Jesus and considered everyone as a friend and every friend as family.

David was born in Gloversville, NY, raised in Corinth, NY and lived the majority of his married life in South Westerlo, NY.  His work life was spent in the medical environment and he had a long career at Albany Medical Center, but never considered those things as accomplishments.  His self-worth came from a relationship with Jesus Christ, and the wonderful family that God allowed him to have.  He truly loved his wife Ann and children, Rebecca Parker, Jennifer Robinson, Jeffrey Dence, Steven Dence, Jessica Thayer, and their spouses. He was so proud of all of his grandchildren.

We are all grateful for a life well lived that we were able to be a part of, and know that this is not the end for David but just the beginning.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 27th at 11:00 AM at Loudonville Community Church, 374 Loudon Road (Route 9), Loudonville NY 12211.  There will be a light reception at the church afterward, followed by graveside service at 2:00 PM at the Westerlo Rural Cemetery, County Route 143, Westerlo, NY

In lieu of flowers, should you wish to make a charitable contribution, David would have appreciated your support of: Youth With a Mission, Circuit Riders, in support of Andrew Robinson, his grandson, bringing Christ to college and young adults nationally and internationally.
