I just got the news of your passing, I’m devastated, you was my first love from way back in the seventies ,we had great times together at the cabins and Tavern on the green, even in Florida. Dearest Faith,
You are so loved and missed.
I miss your smile, our thoughtful talks, your love, and compassion. You are one of my favorite people and I miss just picking up the phone to say hello and inevitably we’d meander into some deeper conversation. I am so glad our paths crossed and you were part of my life for a time. I find a little comfort in knowing that I will see you again. In the meantime you are amongst the angels in heaven and out of pain and suffering. Please give love to my Mom and Dad and many other loved ones.

Faith and I worked together at General Atomics years ago. She had great spunk in the work place and great moves on the dance floor. I was so sad to hear the news and hope she is at peace. Sending love and strength to her family and friends.

Faith and I became friends over 20 years ago.
The first time we met, she walking towards me with her cupped hands holding a baby sparrow that had fallen from its nest. As she approached I could see her concern for the bird’s misfortune in her eyes and face, she could hardly speak. We located the nest, and with some assistance the sparrow scrambled back into its home. Afterwards she was smiling and cheerfully chatting, so happy to have saved the vulnerable sparrow. Not long after the sparrows rescue, Faith shared a flight with a stranger who told her; “You are of the sparrow, God watches over you”. Faith was spiritual and took a lot of comfort in the message.
Kindness was her defining quality, I saw Faith go out of her way many more times to help animals or a person in need. Sensing others emotions, empathy came naturally to her. When Faith watched a young woman in doughnut shop carefully considering its cost, Faith casually sparked up a conversation to determine the woman’s favorites before gifting them to her. The woman reacted with overwhelming gratitude for Faith’s kindness; she appreciated the gesture even more than the food. When Faith saw homeless men sitting in a restaurant with only coffee, she bought them food. These are just a few memories of Faith; our world is diminished without Faith in it. The memories I recall of her goodness and kindness inspire me to make life better. I miss my friend, “God watches over her now, she is of the sparrow.”

I just heard this yesterday from a classmate. Faith and I used to have late night phone calls until we both moved at the same time and lost each other’s phone numbers. We talked about everything, good, bad or ugly. It was never gossip, just things that we struggled with and what we celebrated. I’ve missed her for awhile now. I’m sorry to hear that we won’t have any more late night chats. My prayers are for all the loved ones she left behind. May the God of peace comfort you all.
