Mark and I were so blessed to be a part of Mary's life in her later years. She worked in my third grade classroom along with my teaching assistant, Janie Travis, at Pieter B. Coeymans Elementary as a STARS volunteer in 1999 when I had her great grandson Jordan Carnibucci. Therefore, our students were lucky to learn from three older generations. We also enjoyed wonderful homemade Italian dinners at her house with her lovely daughter Mary. Finally, I enjoyed every moment spent in her company. You are free now, Mary, to fly with the angels. We love you! Glenn Koblenzer and Mark Malenowski

Dear Carnibucci family,
The memories I have of my mother, Mary (Datri) Tiberia, are countless and forever. Many include Mrs. Carnibucci. I would often accompany her to Mrs. Carnibucci’s house for a visit and exchange gestures like food or plants or something sewed. Or just for a lovely chat between two dear friends. I had the good fortune of sharing in those delights. I regarded her as family.
Mom would always admire how neat and clean the grounds around the house were, and how everything was always in its place inside and out; a standard Mom had herself. There were many times however where she praised Mrs. Carnibucci’s daughter for the upkeep of the yard. Naturally that Italian Catholic guilt found me tidying something up as soon as we returned home.
When we say goodbye to our wonderful, beautiful, hard working and special mothers, I have learned that they never really leave us; I feel my mother (mommy) all the time, especially during the tough journeys. Mrs. Carnibucci’s presence will be felt forever. And I know Mom was among the angels who welcomed and embraced her…….and now they can catch up on those chats again.
Please know you are all in my thoughts,
Carol Ann Tiberia-Sterrett
