Obituary of William C. De Giovine

De Giovine, William GREENVILLE - William De Giovine, age 63, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, July 18, 2012. He was born in Catskill on Nov. 4, 1948, son of the late Otello and Camille De Giovine. Bill graduated from St. Mary's School for the Deaf in Buffalo in 1970. He was employed at General Electric in Schenectady for 38 years until his retirement in 2011. Bill enjoyed biking, golfing, and bowling with his friends and family. He was a devoted caregiver to his mother until her death in 2008. Bill is survived by his brothers, Donald De Giovine (Marilyn) of Auburn, NY and Raymond De Giovine of Essex Junction, VT; nieces, Diane De Giovine (Fred Bush) of Altamont and Barbara Fenton of Malta; grandniece Chelsea Bush of NYC; grandnephews Nicholas and Kyle Fenton of Malta. In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his nephew, Cpl. Christopher De Giovine, USMC, who died on April 26, 2007 in Fallujah, Iraq in the global war on terror. Calling hours will be Tuesday, July 24 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR 81, Greenville.
