Obituary of William Craig Lounsbury

BERNE - William Craig Lounsbury, born May 19, 1955 in Albany, lived and grew up in Dormansville, died suddenly on April 3, 2011 at his home in Berne. Son of the late Theodore Lounsbury and Lena Bealah Fisher Lounsbury, Bill leaves two sons, William Chester Jr., age 16 and Jerame Travis, age 14. Bill is brother to Patrick (Helen Marie), Berne, John (Diane), Westerlo, Dennis, Westerlo, Terrance Lee (Eva), Delanson, and predeceased by Theodore Seward, Harold Fisher, Clifton Lloyd, Clyde, Roger Wesely and Thomas Paul. Surviving sisters include Janice Lounsbury, Hannacroix, Bettejean Muller (William), Alcove and Sandra Jane Ross, Westerlo, and predeceased by Harriet Mae Peck, Marjorie Gloria White and Janet Berkhoffer. Bill is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Bill was from a family of 17 children: 11 boys and 6 girls. He graduated from Greenville Central School. Bill worked in construction, remodeling homes and pools. He loved spending time with his boys, camping, hunting and fishing. Calling hours will be Saturday, April 9 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR 81, Greenville. A memorial service will be at 12 noon with Rev. Phyllis Skidmore officiating. Burial of his ashes will follow in Onesquethaw Cemetery, Clarksville.
