DURHAM - Inez Leslie "Lady" Sutton, 97, passed away peacefully at Kaaterskill Care Center on Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Born in Cornwallville on August 30, 1913, she was daughter of the late Osmur and Inez Sutton. Lady graduated from Windham High School and Presbyterian School of Nursing in Philadelphia, and was trained in Chicago. She worked for the late Dr. McQuade in Coxsackie, and had a 40-year career at the former Memorial Hospital of Greene County in Catskill, serving as Head of Maternity for 35 of those years. Lady was a member of the Presbyterian School of Nursing Alumni Association, and enjoyed having lunch with her fellow retired nurses. Lady is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and all eight of her brothers and sisters. Calling hours will be Monday, April 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR 81, Greenville, with a service at 7:30 p.m. The funeral will be Tuesday, April 5 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home, with burial in Cornwallville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 will be appreciated. Light a candle at ajcunninghamfh.com.
