Obituary of Bernard J. Dushane

Bernard Dushane, 60 years, of East Durham, NY passed away on Jan. 8, 2011 in the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, NY. He was born in Albany, NY on May 5, 1950, son of the late Herman and Mary (Christiana) Dushane. Bernie served his country in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He was a Cook at Hansel and Grettel Restaurant in East Durham for 24 years and he also had Bernie's "Old Time Photo" in East Durham. He was a member of the East Durham Vol. Fire Co. Surviving are his three children, Adam Dushane (Miriam), Bernard Dushane (Ursula) and Daniel Andresen, his three grandchildren, Ava, Jackson and Kate Dushane, and his four brothers, John and Stanley Dushane and Michael and Thomas Horowitz. Funeral service will be Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011 at 7 PM at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR 81, Greenville, NY 12083. Friends may call on Tuesday prior to the service from 4 to 7 PM. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY.
