Obituary of Ernst M. Oestreicher

Ernst Oestreicher (71) of Durham, NY passed away at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY on Jan. 6, 2011. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on Oct. 21, 1939 son of the late Ernst & Anna (Moltzen) Oestreicher. He was employed in Retail Sales and had been Manager of a Cumberland Farms Store in Catskill, NY and was presently working at the Cumberland Farms Store in Greenville, NY. Ernst was an avid golfer and played tennis. He was a member of the Greenville-Norton Hill U.M. Church. His favorite past time was his family and he will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. A daughter Tamie Oestreicher predeceased him. Surviving is his wife Irene (Schilt) Oestreicher, a daughter Monica Greathouse, his grandchildren Jesse Greathouse (Jennifer), Sonya Van Etten (William), Tom & Kelly Greathouse, Two brothers, Kurt O. (Ute), Harry O. (Anne), a half sister Karin Gonzalez, three step-brothers, Jeffrey, John & Kevin Petersen, a step-mother, Erna Oestreicher & several nieces & nephews. A daughter Tammy Oestreicher predeceased him. Funeral service will be Mon. Jan. 10 11AM at the Greenville-Norton Hill U.M. Church, Rte. 81, Norton Hill, NY. Friends may call at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home on Sun. Jan. 9 from 4 to 8PM. Interment will follow in the Mt. Marion Cemetery.
