Anna T. Pratt Obituary

Anna T. Pratt (77) of Greenville, NY passed away at St. Peter's Hospice Inn on Dec. 20, 2009. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on Nov. 14, 1932 daughter of the late Henry & Anna (Koch) Roessler. In 2001 she retired after 16 years of service to the New York State Senate. Anna's dedication to the Town of Greenville was an inspiration to all. She served in many capacities including Town Bookkeeper from 1970 to 1985, Deputy Supervisor and most recently Assessor's Clerk. From the 1970's to the present day, she actively served as part of the town of Greenville's Republican Committee and held positions of Chair and Vice Chair giving many hours of service, always with the goal of providing the best and most qualified government for her Town. She served for over 30 years as a member of the Greene County Youth Commission as she was convinced that our future belonged to the children.




Anna was married to the late John T. Pratt for fifty years and is survived by her daughters; Jane Furko (Robert), Diane Bischoff (Gregory), Johanna Welter (Douglas), Faith Ann Pratt and Charity Hempstead (Franklin); grandchildren, George Furko, Justin Welter, Dr. Jacqueline Welter-Toth, Carrie Anne Dady & Franklin Hempstead, III as well as her great grandchildren, Cheyenne Welter, Justin Douglas Welter, Jr., Caeben Dady and Isabel Furko.




Funeral service will be 11:30 am Mon. Dec. 28 at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR81, Greenville, NY. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sun. Dec. 27 from 4 to 8pm. Interment will follow at the Saratoga National Cemetery. Those who desire may contribute in her memory to the Greenville Rescue Squad or to the Community Hospice of their choice.
