So very sorry to hear about Garry passing. I had a great respect for his intellect and ability for rational thought. He always had a "call it the way it is" style that was genuine and commendable. Our condolences to the family, and feel sad that we were working up north when he died and just heard about it.

My best friend, Garry is now in the presence of our Heavenly Father. We talked about our religious beliefs and when seeing Garry for the last time, we both reaffirmed our faith. Garry and I worked together in Dillon, SC where he was recognized at their best Employee more than once. We enjoyed working together and became fast-friends while there. When not working, he helped me on many at my home (he knew so much more than I did when doing these projects and usually did Iots of the work) . When we were not working on something we went to Myrtle Beach fishing or enjoying good restaurants and just taking in the various things to see. The two hour trips to the beach we filled up the time telling stories of our personal memories and his stories had me laughing til i had tears in my eyes. I took him to the doctor and he took me to my appointments and and no matter where, we just had the best time, the very best friendship. He said he wanted o show me around his hometown in NY, but it wasn't til his final days that i flew up to see him. We said tearful a tearful goodbye while shaking hands with that always strong grip in spite of his weak, failing health. I will miss Garry until the day we meet again in God's presence. The Navy saying is "Fair Winds and Following Seas til we meet again".

To my sister Tanya, my deepest sympathy to the lost of your husband Garry. I pray that you find peace knowing that Garry is in heaven with our mom. Mom always loved Garry and appreciated all the love and thoughtfulness he had toward others and all the horses, dogs, chickens cats and any animal that needed him!!! He loved you so much and wanted to take care of you! I know he enjoyed spending every moment with you and his family. He worked so hard his whole life to provide for you, family and friends. He had an unselfish love!!!! He was a man of many trades. The world has lost a great man and we will be lost without him!!!! He taught you many things sis! Remember the kind loving unselfish love he had for you and others!!!! I remember when I wanted to surprise you and mom on Easter. I was driving down from NY on Easter and my car wouldn’t start when I pulled over in Maryland, he told me not to worry and he would distract you and mom untilI we got there! It was a 13 hour drive! He really wanted to make it special! Your husband’s dedication to his family, friends and animals is unbelievable!!! I know this is a really hard time for you knowing that he was your one and only true love but you will be okay. Bill and I are here for you. We love you ❤️Donna and Bill

Alicia, family and many friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time of the loss of Garry. I can not express how much I will miss my brother in law!!! I know my mother welcomed him with open arms into heaven as he did with my mom any time she needed something or something fixed. He was always there to help anyone! Garry would take the shirt off his back and give it to someone in need! Garry melted my sisters heart and took very good care of her filling her with lots of love, a beautiful home and plenty of animals! Anyone who loved his family, his wife, friends and animals as much as he did deserves a special place in heaven! I know God took my brother in law, too early but God must have needed something fixed and he just couldn’t wait another day!!! I know he is so proud of you Alicia!!! Family meant everything to him!!!! All his friends were family!!! Let’s continue his legacy of helping one another because that’s what he would want!!!! I will always love you and miss you. Just know that I will also continue your legacy, Garry, of helping others!!! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ Love always Donna
