Obituary of Janice Anne Lake

ALBANY – Janice "Jan" Anne Lake, 58, passed away after a long illness on Wednesday January 2, 2019 at St. Peter's Hospital. She was born on June 22, 1960 in Albany to Patricia Kaperka Hall and the late Richard Lake. Jan was raised in Alcove by her mother and her step-father, the late Raymond Hall. After graduating from Watervliet High School, she worked as a clerk for the NYS Teachers Retirement System, from where she retired. Jan loved her cats and her family. In addition to her father and step-father, she is predeceased by her sister, Karen Dolobach. Jan is survived by her son, John Kruppenbacher; her companion, Joe Kruppenbacher; her mother, Patricia Hall; her brother, Tom Hall; her sister, Pamela Wright; niece, Miranda Pedersen; her nephew, Zaq Burns; and many other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her close friends, Pam Gebhart, Cindy Forandia, Doris Burns, and Joan Sagendorf. They were her long time friends that were with her all the time and fought her battle with her until the end. Calling hours will be held on Thursday January 10th from 5 to 7pm at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 9 Main St., Ravena. A funeral service will be held on Friday January 11th at 10am at the funeral home, followed by burial in the Grove Cemetery in Coeymans.
