Ralph Campoli

Obituary of Ralph Campoli

RAVENA - It is with great sadness but with happy memories that we acknowledge the passing of Ralph Campoli on November 27, 2018, at the age of 93. Predeceased by his beloved wife Clarice, he is survived by his children Lynne, Denise, Claudia (Eric), and Brian; grandchildren Jessica, Rachael (Dale), Scott, Chelsea, Lucas, and Sarah; and great-grandson Charlie. Born and raised in Coxsackie, he was the son of the late Santo and Catherine Campoli and brother to Anthony, Joseph and the late Donald, Bernard, Santo, Angelo, and Rose (Dixon). Ralph was a proud patriot and World War II Navy veteran. On his return from the service he married the love of his life and settled in Ravena. He worked at the Port of Albany in his early years then spent many years as a carpenter and mason in the local area. He was proud of his work, especially the home he'd built for his family. He was also a talented drummer who played with the band The Tuneweavers. He loved traveling with his wife, spending time with his family, going to the casino, and his logo baseball caps. Nothing could slow him down. A self-taught, jack of all trades, he led a determined, active, and full life. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, December 22nd, 11:00 am in St. Patrick's Church, 21 Main Street, Ravena. Condolences can be paid in the adjacent parish hall from 12:30–3:00 pm. Burial with military honors will take place in the spring, at the Locust Cemetery, Greenville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Veterans Miracle Center (www.vmcalbany.org; Veterans Miracle Center, 10 Interstate Ave, Albany, NY 12205). Condolences may be expressed at ajcunninghamfh.com.
