I will miss Alan very much. He was a good friend and a perfect neighbor. He was always ready to lend a helping hand or share a joke. Medusa has lost their “mayor” and steadfast volunteer.

Condolences to the Duncan family, and all of Allen’s friends. Rudy Duncan and I started Kindergarden together in 1950, we were good friends in school. Then in the 4th grade, Rudy &I got left back, and that when I met up with Allen, he caught up with us!
As I remember him he was on the Quiet side, but always nice to be around. Allen, Rudy and I spent the 4th grade together, and moved on to the 5th. That’s where Allen moved on to the 6th grade and Rudy and I spent another year in the 5th grade. From there forward I would bump into Allen here & there, he always displayed that same quite pleasant personality.
That was 60 plus years ago that I first met Allen,
( time has flown by )!
My prayers go out to both Allen & Rudy, and ask for gods blessings for both of them, and all there family.
In pleasant memory’s, Ken Dudley & family.

The good times of our youth...roller skating in Purling, hayrides, block dances, Cracker Jax for Halloween at Ernie Bells. And then as you aged, sights of you riding the bicycle all over, chatting with Pearl over the fence on your way for your mail, enjoying breakfasts at the firehouse, call to order at the cemetery meetings and above all your faithfulness to your Mom. Good times and great traits. Peace to your family for standing by you when you needed them.

Always will remember the good times we had playing basketball in our old barn. We played basketball almost every night when we were younger. Allen used to come to my house to play checkers many years ago.
