Obituary of Clara V. Waldron

SOUTH WESTERLO – Clara V. Waldron, 88, passed away on Monday November 12, 2018 at Albany Medical Center. She was born on March 15, 1930 in Lambs Corners to the late Herbert and Grace Shultes Lamb. Clara graduated from GCS in 1947 and married the late Ward "Bud" Waldron, Jr. A life long resident of South Westerlo, she went to work at Balsam Shade and then at Baumann's Brookside. Clara was a member of the United Methodist Church of Norton Hill and of the United Methodist Women. She volunteered at the Elliot House Thrift Shop, where she was known by her peers as the Quality Control Specialist. She also worked as a Ladies Aid at the Lambs Corners Church. Clara was an amazing baker, and was widely known for making "Clara's Rolls". She enjoyed puzzles, swimming, reading, playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid bird-lover, and enjoyed bird- watching. She loved her family and her dog, Cocoa. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her sons, Michael and Barry Waldron, and her siblings, Marion Caubet, Doris Ormsbee, and Herbert, Jr., Frederick, and Esther Lamb. Clara is survived by her sons, Gary (Janine), Curtis (Belinda), and Duane Waldron; her eight grandchildren, Diana, Leah, Jesse, Brent, Greg, Colette, Vanessa, and Keith; her two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Holly; her sisters, Margurite Duraski, Gladys Gridley, and Joan Badell; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Friday November 16th from 9 to 11am at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville, followed by a funeral service at 11am. She will then be buried in the Locust Cemetery.
