Obituary of Cora E. Deyo
EARLTON β Cora E. Deyo, 83, passed away on Tuesday August 28, 2018 at Columbia Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was born on April 4, 1935 in Catskill to the late William B. and Edith Purdy Ford. She was raised in Athens and graduated from Coxsackie High School. Cora worked for many years as a Home Health Aide for Eddy Home Care in Catskill. She attended Christ Episcopal Church in Greenville.
Cora is survived by her brother, Frank A. (Emily) Ford, Sr.; her sister, Edith Rice; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Norman E. Deyo; her son, Norman E. Deyo, Jr.; her siblings, William Ford, Josephine Desco, Nettie Ford, and Mickey Ford.
A calling hour will be held on Friday August 31st from 12 to 1pm at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville, followed by a funeral service at 1pm. She will then be buried in the Greenville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association, 4 Atrium Dr., Suite 100, Albany, NY 12205.
