Obituary of Deborah L. Knapp

CAIRO – Deborah L. Knapp, 52, passed away suddenly on Saturday August 4, 2018 at Albany Medical Center. She was born on August 10, 1965 in Middleburg to Arthur Parkes and the late Irma Slater Parkes. She was raised in Oak Hill and graduated from the Cairo-Durham High School. Debbie moved to Cairo, where she raised her family. She enjoyed cooking and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Debbie is survived by her beloved husband, John Knapp; her daughters, Brittany M. and Rachel E. Knapp; her father, Arthur Parkes; her brother Allen (Dana) Parkes; and her father and mother-in-law, Ray and Bette Knapp. A memorial service celebrating Debbie's life will be held on Thursday August 9th at 5pm at the A.J.
