Obituary of Muriel A. Wanglund

GREENVILLE – Muriel A. Wanglund, 83, passed away on Saturday July 21, 2018 at Albany Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 6, 1935 in Brooklyn to the late Walter T. and Mary Rooney O'Donnell. She was raised in Brooklyn and then after she was married, she moved to Staten Island with her husband, the late Robert E. Wanglund. She then settled in Greenville after retiring from Hewlett-Packard where she worked as a secretary for ten years in Manhattan. Muriel enjoyed going out to dinner and to shows with her friends, and enjoyed going to the casinos. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her brother, Walter T. O'Donnell, Jr. Muriel is survived by her children, Edward R. Wanglund (Kerry Gibson), Janet Wanglund (Vincent Mancuso), and Eric Wanglund; her grandchildren, Samantha Jo, Erica, and Darlene Wanglund, and Robert and Gianna Mancuso; and her great-grandchild, Indigo Moon. A calling hour will be held on Friday July 27th from 9 to 10:30am at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:15am at St. John the Baptist Church, 4987 State Route 81, Greenville. She will then be privately cremated.
