Obituary of Hilda L. Fancher

Hilda L. Fancher CONESVILLE – Hilda L. (Dent) Fancher, 81, passed away Saturday morning, June 9, 2018 at Robinson Terrace in Stamford after a long illness. Born in Gilboa on February 7, 1937, she was daughter of the late Chauncey and Carrie Miller Dent. Hilda graduated from Gilboa Central School with the Class of 1954. She was employed as a bus driver by the Gilboa-Conesville Central School District for 34 years, retiring several years ago. Hilda was a very family-oriented woman who loved to spend time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hilda is survived by her husband of 63 years, Stanley J. Fancher Sr.; two children, Stanley J. Fancher Jr. of Conesville and Jeanette Jaeger of Prattsville; five grandchildren, Stacy Fancher, Stanley J. (Michelle) Fancher III, Jesse J. Fancher, Michael (Jean) Jaeger, and Rachel (Travis) Brandow; eight great-grandchildren, Morgan and Hunter Fancher, Derrick, Brooke, and Mason Brandow, Kameron, Preston, and Mckenon Jaeger; two siblings, Gerald Dent of Stamford and Sheila Dent of Catskill; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Hilda was predeceased by her brother, Chauncey Dent Jr. in April of this year. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday, July 14th at 12:30 p.m. in Manorkill Rural Cemetery, with Rev. Dottie Morris officiating. There are no calling hours.
