Obituary of Marguerite Joan Case

MEDUSA – Marguerite J. Case, 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at St. Peter's Hospital. She was born on October 29, 1936 in East Worcester to the late Howard and Margretta Putman Rifenburg. Marge moved to Medusa in 1957 and was the beloved housewife to Russell J. Case, Jr. She worked at various companies, including Stiefel Laboratories, American Thermostat, NYS Dept. of Taxation, and finally at Bryant's Supermarket. Marge loved to crochet and do puzzles, especially crossword puzzles. She and Russell enjoyed going to Toy Shows and Tractor Shows and they also enjoyed motorcycle touring. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters, Mira Freeman and Shirley Rifenburg. Marge is survived by her husband of 60 years, Russell J. Case, Jr.; her children, Russell III, Michael, and Mark Sr. Case, and Linda (Rich) Snyder; her grandchildren, Jeffrey and Christopher Snyder, Brittany (Dominic) Higgins, Mark Jr. and Heather Case; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday March 28th from 4 to 6pm at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville, followed by a funeral service at 6pm.
