Obituary of Janice Lounsbury

HANNACROIX – Janice Lounsbury, 75, passed away suddenly on Saturday February 24, 2018 at Albany Medical Center. She was born on May 9, 1942 in Albany to the late Theodore and Lena Fisher Lounsbury. Janice was raised in Dormansville and after living briefly in Albany, she resided in Hannacroix. Janice worked as a cook for most of her life, working at Albany Medical Center, Balsam Shade, and finally at Cass Residential Center in Rensselaerville. She enjoyed taking care of others and cooking for people. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her siblings, Theodore Jr., Harold, Clifton, Patrick, Clyde, Dennis, Roger, Thomas, and William Lounsbury, Harriet Peck, Marjorie White, and Janet Berkhofer. Janice is survived by her niece "daughter", Jennifer (David) Millious; her siblings, John (Diane) and Terrance (Eva) Lounsbury, Bettejean (Billy) Mueller, and Sandra Ross; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Saturday March 3rd from 11am to 1pm at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville, followed by a memorial service at 1pm. Her ashes are to be buried in the Onesquethaw Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dormansville United Methodist Church, PO Box 162, Westerlo, NY 12193.
