Obituary of Helga L. Watts

GREENVILLE – Helga L. Watts, 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at home. She was born in Germany on December 16, 1939 to the late Erich and Liselotte Komoll Buhrke. The family immigrated to the United States in 1954. Helga worked at the former American Thermostat, and then with her husband as a sales clerk in his jewelry stores, the former Watts Jewelers in Hudson and Chatham. Helga is survived by her husband, Robert A. Watts; her son, William (Bette) Watts; her grand-daughter, Jessi Watts; her siblings, Werner Buhrke and Regina (Anton) Bulich; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Helga was predeceased by her son, Robert N. Watts on September 29, 2017; and her brother, Herbert Buhrke. As were her wishes, she has been privately cremated.
