My condolences to John's family and close friends. I worked with him during his time in Portland and found him to be refreshingly honest and open. It was a pleasure to work with him.
He will be missed by many. I pray that you may find comfort in memories of the happy times you spent with him.

John will be missed not only by the doctors and nurses with whom he worked but by every single patient he took care of. His kindness flavored all aspects of his work. I will miss him.

we are saddened to hear about John. We worked with him. He was a great asset to the anesthesia team on the Labor Deck at Rose Medical Center. we not only considered him a colleague but also a friend. we loved hearing stories of his boys and his athletic endeavors . he will be missed.

John (or Johnny V) was one of the most real and genuine people I have ever met. I was very fortunate to have John’s day to day friendship and support for the many years he lived in Syracuse. He always took an interest in your life and pushed everyone to live a fun and activity fulled life. He would never let me get off the phone unless I told him I loved him. You will always be in my families hearts and the fond memories and stories of you will be carried forward. My hearts go out to your family and friends. Love ya Brother!
