Please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of Helen. Helen and her husband were long time friends with my mother and father - Jane and Charles Turon. My dad was also wheelchair bound. Helen was also my guidance counselor at Greenville High School. She truly cared about her students and always encouraged them to reach for their goals. Helen is truly one who spent her life giving to others.

I have many fond and loving memories of "Helen Brown". She was an important part of our history and lives growing up. Each Summer we would head to Greenville to stay with our grandparents. Aunt Sabina lived around the corner. We would visit Aunt Sabina every week as children. Helen would visit us often, She would take us to swim in a pond, share her geese stories, the McCaw acquisitions and we saw her after mass each Sunday. I will miss knowing she is no longer among us and spreading her love of family history. She was our genealogist and keeper of the Golden traditions. Her memory will live on in my heart forever.

Mrs Brown was one of my favorite teachers. I always looked forward to 7th grade social studies class. Her warm smile greeted us and her kindness was felt by everyone. She was the reason I became a teacher, and I thought of her often when I taught world history to my sixth graders. Rest In Peace, Mrs. Brown.

Mrs. Brown was one of the best teachers of my high school days. She was fair and kind. She was the same when she brought her car to our garage to be repaired. I loved to hear her tell stories of her parrots. God has prepared a special room just for her...full of His love.

I have many fond memories of Aunt Helen but the most memorable would be the cruise she took with my sisters and I years ago. Although there was over 30 years difference in age between us, she was one of the girls that week and we had a blast. She took me to the Titanic Museum in Halifax and gave me a better tour and historic insights than the museum could!
We will miss you and your positive happy personality. Nobody knew the family history like you do. I will miss all the stories about our family
RIP Aunt Helen

Our hearts are heavy. Helen always had a smile and a kind greeting. She has made a world of difference in all of our lives, whether we are aware of it or not. Boy Scout Troop 42 is forever grateful for her vision and generosity. Providing a place for young men to grow and learn how to become our future community leaders, will be just a part of her legacy. Our most sincere sympathy to her loved ones.

Mrs. Brown didn’t just teach history she had the gift of being able to transport a student back in time and allow them to experience what it must have been like to work on the construction of the Erie Canal or being a soldier in the battle of Gettysburg. Masterful in front of a classroom full of impressionable young minds. I was blessed to be in several of her classes and credit her with my completing degrees in history and secondary education. Thank you Mrs. Brown.

We extend our sympathy to Mrs. Brown's family and friends. Mrs. Brown was our history teacher, at our very young age we knew she was truly a classy, warm hearted, beautiful, and intelligent woman. Mrs. Brown was a cut-above most educator's. We will miss seeing her occasionally at The Mountain View Brasserie and Vince Anna's.
Her star in the universe will outshine Jupiter!
