Obituary of Monica L. Reese

KISKATOM – Monica Reese, 51, passed away suddenly on Thursday September 14, 2017 at home. She resided with her loving fiancé, Michael Sheridan, for eleven years. She is survived by her son, Matthew Reese; her mother, Linda Gail Burke; her brothers, Joseph Hall and James Ogden; her sisters, Lisa Barbieri and Melissa Ogden; her mother-in-law, Margaret Sheridan; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Charles Ogden; and her father, Thomas Burke. She was a long time Staten Islander, having been born and raised there. She moved to the Catskill area in the 1990's. She graduated from Port Richmond High School, and graduated from Columbia-Greene Community College with an Associates Degree. She worked as a CNA for the state. She loved gardening, and had beautiful gardens that she well tended to. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday September 20, 2017 from 11am to 1pm at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville, followed by a funeral service at 1pm. She will then be laid to rest in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Catskill.
