Obituary of James P. Conway

James P. Conway, 77 years, of East Durham, NY passed away at his home on Thurs., Sept. 30, 2010. He was born in Bronx, NY, on Feb. 18, 1933 son of the late Eugene O. and Margaret (Mulkeen) Conway. Jim served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a drummer in the 12th Air Force Band and an MP. Jim worked as a Bartender at the O'Neil House Resort until he retired. He was a member of the NRA and a former member of the East Durham Vol. Fire Co. Besides his parents, Jim was predeceased by his sister, Mary Togher. Surviving is his niece, Jennifer Togher and two nephews, Stephan and James Togher. Friends may call at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 Route 81, Greenville, on Sunday, Oct. 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Knock Shrine in East Durham will be 10 AM Monday, Oct. 4.
