EAST DURHAM – Marie P. Dean, 77, passed away on Sunday August 6, 2017 at Albany Medical Center. She was born on April 9, 1940 in Brooklyn to the late Anthony and Katherine Tagliavia. She was raised in Franklin Square and then after marrying the late Robert A. Dean, she lived in Laurelton with her family. In 1989 they moved to East Durham. Marie was a member of the Durham Valley American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Knock Shrine. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching game shows.

Marie is survived by her children, Robert A. (Emily) Dean, Jr., and Denise M. (David) Gooch; her grandchildren, Gavin and Bethany Dean, and Jordan and McKenna Gooch; her sisters, Sebina (Charles) Dean, Marie's identical twin, and Pauline (Anthony) Torre; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday August 10, 2017 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville, NY 12083. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday August 11th at 11am at Our Lady of Knock Shrine, 2052 State Route 145, East Durham, NY 12423, followed by burial in Winston Cemetery.
