Obituary of James T. Gleason

James Thomas Gleason, born February 5, 1951 in Manhattan, passed away on Friday August 4, 2017 of a heart attack at his home in Freehold, NY. James is survived by wife Eva F. Gleason, daughters Rosemary L. Gleason, and Grace B. Gleason, son John P. Gleason, and grandson Aedan P. Gleason son of Rosemary.
Although James enjoyed living in a variety of places, he was raised in Whitestone NY by mother Beatrice N. Gleason and father John M. Gleason. Some of the towns James called home included Hensonville NY,  New Port Richey FL, Delhi NY, and finally Freehold. James was someone who had many interests, he enjoyed fishing, building, woodworking, and gardening, but his most favorite past time was spending time with the people he loved; family and friends were most important in his life. James was an alumnus of the Loyola School in New York City and the National Aviation Academy. He owned and operated a variety of businesses over the years, and was most recently the president of Martin A. Gleason Inc.
Visitation will be held on Saturday August 12, 2017 from 9:30 – 11:30 AM at A J Cunningham Funeral Home 4898 State Route 81, Greenville NY 12083. Funeral Mass will be celebrated the same day at 12 PM at St. John the Baptist Church in Greenville. Interment will follow at Greenville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James's memory to Loyola School, 980 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10028 or the American Museum of Natural History.  Condolences may be expressed at ajcunninghamfh.com.
