Dearest Jane,
Mike always had the sweetest smile and way about him. A gentle spirit when we were children. I was just a little older, and I was in awe of how he could handle himself around the farm - which was all new to me! Mike was a friend always to the Stegler family and helped us in countless ways. We will always be grateful and will miss him. Love to you and Mal and your family. I will be thinking of you all on Saturday and am so sorry I can't make it up there. Love ya, Nancy
Bill and Edith Kuhar were my mother and father's dear friends. Our family drove up from Long Island every summer to visit and spend time with them. Mike and Jane were the same ages as my sisters and me, and we were the best of friends. I am so sorry Mike is gone. He was a gentle, sweet person. I will miss him.
Mike was a wonderful and giving friend for many years. He helped build the Rensselaerville Ambulance squad, and gave to anyone in need. He was also a great carpenter. I am very sad to learn this news, and only wish I could be in Rensselaerville at this time.
