Obituary of Carole R. Jones

Carole Rae Jones, 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 28, 2017 at the Thompson House in Rhinebeck. She was born on December 31, 1932 in Brooklyn to the late Alden and Ruth Hummel Cusic. Carole worked at Loeb Partners in Manhattan and during her 45 years there, she worked her way up from secretary to stock broker. Carole will be remembered as a kind and completely selfless woman, who was always willing to help anyone in need. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Jones, Sr., and her siblings, Bud Cusic, Connie Cusic, Ruth McNally, Ronald Cusic, and Herbie Cusic. Carole is survived by her sons, Edward J. (Margaret) Jones, Jr., and James A. Jones; her grandchildren, Libby (David) McComb and James A. Jones, Jr.; her great-granddaughter, Nora McComb; her sister, Doris Wiseman; her niece, Maryanne Overbaugh; and her nephews, George and Rob Wiseman. Calling hours will be held on Sunday March 5th from 1 to 3pm at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 3pm. Burial in the Rensselaerville Cemetery will take place in the spring.
