Obituary of Bela Fabian

GREENVILLE – Bela Fabian, 84, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born in Hungary on April 6, 1932, son of the late Istvan and Erzsebet Fraumberger Fabian. Mr. Fabian came to the United States in 1956 at age 24, and settled in New Jersey. He married his beloved wife, Maria Stoll Fabian on May 31, 1958. They resided in Wayne, NJ for 30 years until retirement in 1987, when they relocated to Cairo, and finally to Greenville in 2004. Mr. Fabian was a self-employed mason in New Jersey. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Fabian was a devoted husband, father and grandfather – family was everything to him. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Maria; three sons, William "Bill", Steve, and Robert "Bob" Fabian; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Jeffrey, Kimberly, Roy, Brent, and Stevie Lynn; one great-granddaughter, Brooke; one brother, Jeno Fabian; one cousin, Anna Gronusz; three nephews and one niece. Calling hours will be Wednesday, August 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, August 18 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 4987 State Route 81, Greenville, followed by burial in Greenville Cemetery.
