Obituary of Madalene M. Wyckoff

CONESVILLE – Madalene M. Wyckoff, 96, passed away peacefully at home on Friday July 29, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born on October 29, 1919 in Manorkill to the late Ford and Hattie Rivenburgh Bailey. She was raised in Manorkill, and after she married Frank Wyckoff in 1939, they spent their earlier years in Burnt Hills, before settling in Conesville. Madalene worked as a school treasurer and school aide at the Gilboa School. She was a charter member of the Conesville Fire Dept. Auxiliary and a member of the Mountain Top Senior Citizens. She will be remembered for her baby quilts, and for her love for her family, especially for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Frank in 1994 and by her brother Vernon Bailey. Madalene "Granny" is survived by her children, Kaye (Don) Dyson, Gene (Carolyn) Wyckoff, and Kathy (Gary) Ramundo; her grandchildren, Debra (Tom) Brand, April (Jerry) Bussy, Julie Dyson, Steven (Michele) Wyckoff, and Matt (Erica) Ramundo; her great-grandchildren, Daniel and Bridget Tompkins, Colby and Claire Bussy, Alexandria and Nathan Wyckoff, and Vanessa Brand; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday August 2nd from 6 to 8pm at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville, NY 12083. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 3rd at 11am at the Conesville Chapel Church, followed by burial in Manorkill Rural Cemetery.
