Obituary of Ralph C. Brand

RENSSELAERVILLE - Ralph C. Brand, 87, passed away on Monday May 2, 2016. He was born on March 23, 1929 in Oak Hill to the late Floyd N. Brand and Hattie Gifford Brand Field. Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked at various jobs throughout his life, including as a radio dispatcher for the Thruway Authority State Police. Before retiring, he worked for the NYS Labor Department. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Janice Olson Brand and his sisters, Evelyn Moore and Irene Winans. Ralph is survived by his daughter, Leslie (Richard) Tollner, and his sons, Kenneth and Martin Brand all of Rensselaerville; his five grandchildren; his five great-grandchildren; his sister, Ann (James) Kiley; and several nieces and nephews. Ralph was cremated privately. Services will be at the convenience of the family.
