Obituary of Theresa F. Salvesen

FREEHOLD – Theresa F. Salvesen, 80, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson. Born in the Bronx on May 22, 1935, she was daughter of the late Frank and Theresa Renneisen Wissisky, and wife of the late Carl Salvesen, who died September 20, 1962. Theresa was raised and educated in the Bronx, and moved to Greenville following marriage. She was widowed at a young age, with four children to raise. After her children were in school, she was employed for 25 years as a personal care aide in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) at Albany Medical Center Hospital, retiring 15 years ago. Theresa is survived by her children, Denise McCarroll, Vickie Salvesen-Williams, Beth Salvesen, and Tim Salvesen; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren with one on the way. At her request, Theresa has been cremated and her ashes will be buried privately in Greenville Cemetery.
