Obituary of Michael Terelle
GREENVILLE β Michael Terelle, 87, passed away suddenly on Friday, December 18, 2015 at his residence with his beloved wife at his side.
Michael (Mike) Terelle was born on September 17, 1928 in Lenola, Italy where he lived with his mother until they joined his father and four brothers on Staten Island, New York when he was eight years old. Mike attended McKee Vocational School and graduated from Curtis High School. He earned a degree in Communications in Washington, DC and later attended Wagner College.
Mike met Mildred (Mill) Lind in 1942 and they became high-school sweethearts. Shortly after the couple wed in 1946, Mike was commissioned in the service of the Submarine Corp of the Navy. Stationed in Hawaii from 1946 to 1948, Mill joined him, returning stateside to reside in Washington, DC before settling on Staten Island.
In 1950, Mike was on the cutting-edge of the blossoming television business and ultimately served as a Technical Director with CBS. He worked with a variety of shows and stars, including the Ed Sullivan Show, I Love Lucy, The Cronkite News, Captain Kangaroo and, later, with popular soap operas of the day such as The Edge of Night and As the World Turns.

He was a true family man, devoted to his beloved wife of 70 years and their four children. Mike is survived by his wife, Mildred, his daughters Lynn and Leslie, and his sons John and Raymond.
A Memorial Service is being planned, date to be determined and announced soon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mike's memory to Wounded Warriors Project or ASPCA through the A. J. Cunningham Funeral Home, PO Box 146, Greenville, NY 12083.
