Obituary of Herbert W. Hewins

HANNACROIX – Herbert W. Hewins, 83, passed away on Friday October 23, 2015. He was born on November 17, 1931 in Leeds, Maine to the late Willard and Flora Rose Hewins. After high school, Herbert joined the Air Force and served our country during the Korean War. Herbert retired from Owens Corning in Feura Bush. He enjoyed hunting and gardening, and he loved kids, trips to Maine, and being outside. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his son, Dale Beck and his siblings, Stanley, Howard, Glenice, Earle, Chester, and Ruth Hewins. Herbert is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Winifred "Winny" Beck Hewins; his sons, Robert Beck and Kenneth Beck, Sr.; his grandchildren, Laura (Robert) Haley, Kenneth (Erika) Beck Jr., Edward (Kim) Beck, and Elizabeth Beck; 7 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. At Herbert's request, there will be no services.
