Obituary of Peter E. Fuegmann

Peter E. Fuegmann (74) of Esperance, NY passed away at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY on Oct. 14, 2005. He was born in Catskill on June 27, 1941, son of the late Otto and Margaret (Griffin) Fuegmann. Peter was employed by Conrail in Selkirk until he was injured and had to retire. Prior to working for Conrail, Peter served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War receiving the Motor Vehicle Badge, the Sharpshooter (Rifle M-1) medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. He was a Life Member of the East Durham Vol. Fire Co., the Middleburgh American Legion Post #248 & the Vietnam Vets. Peter was known for loving his many dogs, his truck and playing cards. A friend to all he met, he will be missed by them and his loving family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two wives Virginia and Sandra, and two brothers Jack and Richard "Dickey" Fuegmann. Surviving is his wife Jean Fuegmann; three daughters, Margaret Olthoff, Deborah Lacitignola and Sandy Fuegmann; a son Peter O. Fuegmann; seven grandchildren; seven step-children; several step-grandchildren; two brothers Maxwell and Steven Fuegmann; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville, on Monday Oct. 19th from 4 to 6pm. The East Durham Vol. Fire Co. and the Middleburgh American Legion Post #248 will conduct services at the funeral home starting at 6pm. Interment will be 10am on Tues.
