Obituary of Doris F. Smith

Doris F. Smith, 81 years, of Hannacroix, NY passed away on June 11, 2010 in the St. Peter's Hospice Inn in Albany, NY. She was born in Hackensack, NJ, on Oct. 5, 1928, daughter of the late Chester and Ella (Quandt) Fritziny. She graduated from Senior High School of Rutherford, New Jersey. Doris was a secretary in the Guidance Office of the Greenville Central School for years and would surely be remembered by all the students attending during her time at the school. She was a member of the Friends of the Library and when younger loved ice skating, square dancing and movies. She also liked antiquing and going to auctions. Doris was a member of the Medway C.C. Church. Doris was known fondly as "Mean & Miserable". She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a dear and loyal friend. Surviving is her husband Irving Smith of Hannacroix, NY, her daughter, Dorrie Myers and her son, Todd Smith (Dee) all of Hannacroix, NY, her grandchildren, Brianna Myers, Sara Mae Smith, Jason and Johnathon Southwick. Also her dog "Lady Bug" and seven cats. Funeral service will be Tues. 11AM, June 15, at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR 81, Greenville, NY. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be in the Greenville Cemetery.
