Obituary of Marjorie Carolyn Dedie
GREENVILLE β Marjorie Dedie, 91, passed away on Friday May 8, 2015. She was born on April 9, 1924 in Queens to the late Scott and Emily Willeburger Winans. She was raised in Jamaica Estates, then moved to Hicksville, Long Island, and then finally settled on Maple Ave in Greenville. Marge was a fifth grade teacher at GCS for twenty-one years. She enjoyed camping, biking, sailing, and liked to play bridge. She loved her dog, Yoshi, and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Marge is predeceased by her husband, Milton J. Dedie; her grandson, Adam Dedie; and her brother, Scott Addison Winans.
Marge is survived by her children, Robert (Karen) Dedie, Richard (Helene) Dedie, and Carolyn (Philip) Myers; her grandchildren, Jennifer, John, and Matthew Dedie, Alyssa and Taso Pantilieris; her step-grandchildren, Kristine (Al) D'Amato, Tabitha, Sharon, and Jose; her great-grandchildren, Maverick, Zachary, and Jesse James Brough, Kristopher Beeker, Derek, John Jr., Matthew, Brock and Cole Dedie, and Emily Fournier; and her beloved friends and companions, Denise Myers and Barry McKay.
A funeral service will take place on Monday May 11th at 1pm, at the United Methodist Church of Greenville and Norton Hill 5830 State Route 81, Greenville, NY 12083. Friends and family may call at the church two hours prior to the service: from 11am to 1pm. Burial will take place in Greenville Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the GNH United Methodist Church, PO Box 599 Greenville, NY 12083. Condolences can be posted at ajcunninghamfh.com.
