Obituary of Wilda Hladik Ziller

GREENVILLE – Wilda Hladik Ziller, 91, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 29, 2015 in the Pines at Catskill. Born in Catskill, she was daughter of the late Charles P. and Carrie May Edwards Waldron. Wilda grew up on a farm in Earlton, and was a graduate of Cairo High School. She was a homemaker who resided in Greenville for many years. Wilda was a member of Catskill Senior Fellowship and the Cairo Golden Age Club. She enjoyed reading, solving crossword puzzles, crocheting, sewing, knitting, and cooking. Her family has fond memories of many Thanksgiving meals, lovingly prepared and served by Wilda. Wilda is the mother of Patricia Hladik, Robert Hladik, and the late Charles Ronald Hladik, whose wife Sandra survives; step-mother of Erich Ziller and Sonia Greiner; grandmother of Christopher Rauch, Heather Rauch Saczynski, Kimberly Vallee, Kelly Hladik Woo, Carrie Hladik Rath, Robert and Christopher Hladik; step-grandmother of Debbie Bastien, Stephen and Michael Greiner, Mark and David Ziller; also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Wilda was predeceased by her husbands, Charles "Chuck" Hladik and George Ziller; brothers, Laurence and Donald "Doc" Waldron; and her dear friend, Louis Izzo. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
