Obituary of Cyril J. Meisner

Cyril J. Meisner (91) of Fort Pierce, FL passed away on May 21, 2010. Cyril was born in the Bronx, moving to Fort Pierce 23 years ago from East Durham, NY. He was a Lt. with the NYC transit Police, retiring after 30 years of service. A veteran of World War II he served in the US Army Air corps in the European and Pacific Theaters of Operations. He was a member of the Durham Valley Post # 1460 American legion, Knights of Columbus and P.B.O. of the Elks. He was a communicant of St. Anastasia Catholic Church. Surviving are two sons, Charles Meisner of Satsuma, FL, Andrew Meisner of Long Beach, NY, one daughter Patricia Curtis of Glenmont, NY, 3 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his two wives, Alice Meisner & Betty Meisner and a son Gerard Meisner. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on May 25 from St Anastasia Catholic Church in Ft. Pierce, Fl. Friends may call at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR81, Greenville, NY on May 28 from 11:30 to 12:30pm. Interment with Military Honors will follow at 1pm in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Oak Hill, NY.
