LaVerne G. Mizener (80) of Greenville, NY passed away on Dec. 11, 2009 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY. He was born in Lacona, NY on Aug. 31, 1929 son of the late George W. & Austie (Thompson) Mizener. LaVerne served in the US Army during the Korean War and had retired from the Ravena Coeymans School Dist. where he was a Rate & Billing Clerk. Surviving are his children; Lina Marie Ostrander (Jody), Timothy Mizener (Josie), Nicola McMullen (Robert), Thomas Mizener (Maribeth)), Terry Mizener (Kim), Tracy Mizener, Leatta Langton (Richard0, & Brianna Mizener also 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, a sister Shirley Lortie & a brother Eugene Mizener. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother Keith Mizener. As to his wishes there will not be any services.
