She had been the organist for the South Berne Congregational Christian Church for several years and prior to that had played for the Westerlo Reformed Church. Jean and her husband loved to travel and after retirement spent many happy winters in Florida and summers in Saint Johnsville and Hampton Beach. She is also survived by her nieces, Monica Johnson-Hisert, Michele Beckmann and Justine (Michael) Gummer; nephews, JR (Angela) Lasher and Christopher (Dawn) Lasher and many great nieces and nephews, cousins and good friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Raymond Britton and her brother Marvin (Gloria) Lasher.
